The Town of Penfield Local Waterfront Revitalization Program is a locally prepared comprehensive land and water use plan for the Town's natural, public, and developed waterfront resources along the Irondequoit Creek and Bay.

The Town of Penfield LWRP refines and supplements the State's Coastal Management Program and provides a comprehensive framework within which critical waterfront issues can be addressed, and planned waterfront improvement projects can be pursued and implemented. The Town of Penfield is currently focused on updating its LWRP to continue to protect and restore the natural resources of Irondequoit Bay and Creek by managing the impacts of development and to incorporate components of the Irondequoit Bay Harbor Management Plan.
