The Town of Clay Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) is a locally prepared comprehensive land and water use plan for the Town's natural, public, and developed waterfront resources along the Seneca River, Oneida River and Erie Canal.
The Town of Clay LWRP provides a comprehensive framework within which critical waterfront issues can be addressed, and planned waterfront improvement projects can be pursued and implemented. The Town of Clay LWRP was adopted by the Town Board on March 19, 2012, and approved by the New York State Secretary of State on February 4, 2013.

Building on its recently completed LWRP, the Town of Clay is preparing a revitalization strategy for an approximately 79-acre area in the Maider Road and Three Rivers Point area. This strategy will address environmentally impacted sites, foster new mixed-use development and creation of jobs, provide improved connections to Three Rivers Point and create a destination point for boaters and the general public.
